Founded in 1992, the Working Opportunity Fund has invested more than $600 million in over 130 BC-based private companies. The fund manages two portfolios:

• WOF Commercialization Series

• WOF Venture Series


Companies in the Commercialization Series investment portfolio are all in the information technology industry. The top investments are BuildDirect, D-Wave Systems, INETCO, ResponseTek Networks and Teradici.


The Venture Series holds active venture investments in 16 portfolio companies spanning three main sectors: information technology, life sciences and clean technologies. The top investments are BuildDirect, D-Wave Systems, General Fusion, Mixpo, ResponseTek Networks and Teradici.
